About

Student expenses during the course include

  1. Airfare to and from the island of Kauai (~$700)
  2. A $500 course fee payable to the National Tropical Botanical Garden
  3. Food during the two-week course. The house that students will be staying in has a kitchen available (~$300)
  4. Cal Poly registration fees for the course (~$800 for 4 units)
  5. Any extra entertainment or expenses while on the island.

 

 

Accommodations

The NTBG has a boarding house with a large living room and patio, which can comfortably house up to 10 students. The boarding house site is 5 minutes from the garden.
