A New Conservatory Building ::
The Conservatory is conducting a fund
raising campaign for a new conservatory building as well
as many smaller projects. You support is a welcome contribution
to our efforts to provide opportunities for education,
research, and conservation. We invite you to help us
pursue our mission through tax-deductible donations,
volunteering, or visiting the Conservatory.
Human activities are causing the permanent
loss of species on a scale not seen since the extinction
of the dinosaurs. A better understanding of how to prevent
such loss is urgent. For this reason there is a great
need for a facility like ours that promotes environmental
awareness amongst students and the general public through
education about plants and the need for conservation.
The total fundraising target for this
project is $3 million to begin construction of a new
glasshouse conservatory and hire a full-time manager
and horticulturalist.
